About Us

Geographic Travel Georgia (GTG) is more than a classical inbound tour operator managing accommodation, catering, transport and accompaniment. In cooperation with national and international NGOs as well as governmental institutions we offer study tours for professionals and a wider public interested in exploring the unique natural and cultural landscapes of Georgia. The spectrum ranges from geotours, botanical tours and heritage tours to wine, tea and food tours. GTG is a travel company committed to the sustainable use of natural and cultural resources of Georgia. The cornerstones of the corporate identity are:

Our Team

Kartlos Manvelidze

Founder & CEO

Kartlos Manvelidze leads Geographic Travel Georgia. He studied geography in Freiburg and Batumi and has worked in forestry, winemaking, tourism, and gastronomy. After eight years in Europe, he returned to Georgia in 2018 to found GTG and promote eco-friendly tourism. Since 2024, he has been pursuing a PhD at Tbilisi State University, researching social-ecological systems in the Caucasus Mountains, closely linking his academic work with his tourism activities.

Zviad Asanidze

Coordinator & guide of botanical tours

Zviad Asanidze (PhD) is a manager and one of the guides of the botanical tours in the company. He works as a researcher in the institute of ecology and botanical institute of Ilia State University in Tbilisi. The fields of his specialty are the plant ecology, distribution and diversity in Georgia.

Nino Sadradze

Cordinator & guide of geological tour

Nino Sadradze (PhD) is coordinator and guide of our Geological tours. She works as a researcher in TSU M. Nodia Institute of Geophysics in Tbilisi. The fields of his specialty are regional geology, geodynamics and volcanology.
