Scope of Applicability and Definitions

The following conditions regulate the legal relations between you (hereinafter referred to as the costumer) and the Tour Operator Geographic Travel Georgie (GTG) concerning tour arrangements or other services provided by GTG.

1. Tour Categories

We offer two different tour categories:

– Short tours that last maximum 3 days.

– Long tours that last longer than 3 days.

2. Group Size and Departure Dates

The minimum and maximum number of travelers is indicated on our website and brochures. Group departure dates are guaranteed only if the minimum number of travelers per group is reached.

3. Program

We ensure the tours according to the description confirmed in the booking. This includes the itinerary, the categories of hotels, the meal plan and all the touristic activities.

Taking another route than indicated, due to construction works, technical issues, weather conditions, or any other reason, does not warrant a refund or reduction of the tour price.

4. Prices

The indicated prices only refer to program-related services.

For short tours we indicate fixed prices, prices regardless of group size and season.

For long tours we use variable prices. The final tour price depends on the group size and the departure time.

5. Booking

The tour booking can be made through the booking form on our website www.geographictravel.ge, by phone or via e-mail.

A tour is considered booked when the full amount of tour price has been paid and you have received a booking confirmation mail from our team.

Short tours should be booked at least 48 hours before the time departure.

Long tours should be booked at least 90 days before the time departure. After booking you will be required to pay a deposit of 20% of the tour price. The full tour price should be paid at least 45 days before the departure time.

6. Payment

– The bank transfer must include the order identification details that are released in the e-mail order confirmation.

– All payment must be received within the specified booking deadlines.

– The booking is automatically cancelled if the payment is not received within the deadlines.

7. Cancelation and Refund Terms

Tour cancelation by the costumer

For Short tours

If you cancel the tour 24 hours before the departure date, we will honor a full refund, minus an administrative fee of 45.00 GEL (ca. 15 USD).

For long tours

– If you cancel the tour no later than 30 days before the departure date, we will refund you 75% of the tour price.

– If you cancel the tour between 29 to 15 days before the departure date, we will refund you 50% of the tour price.

– If you cancel the tour between 14 to 7 days before the departure date, we will refund you 20% of the tour price.

In exceptional cases, other cancellation conditions may occur. These will be communicated immediately to the client by the GTG Head Office.

Cancelation by GTG

We are entitled to cancel a tour if it cannot be operated for safety reasons, weather disturbances, or technical reasons. In this case, the full tour price will be refunded.  Further compensation claims are excluded. According to your wishes, we can organize alternative tours.

8. Travel Insurance

You are not insured by GTG. We strongly recommend that you come to your holiday fully insured and to make sure that all of the activities which you will be carrying out are covered by such insurance. This insurance should include emergency evacuation and repatriation costs in respect of all of your activities.

9. Meeting Point and Departure Time

Our guides will meet you at the agreed-upon meeting time and place.  They wait a maximum of 30 minutes for you. if you are not there they drive. The paid amount will be charged non-refundable.

We reserve the right to modify the meeting point and departure time. In this case, you will be informed per mail 12 hours before the tour starts.

10. Behavior of the travelers

We reserve the right to cancel the tour or remove a participant without a refund from the tour due to inappropriate behavior or intoxication.
